Overview

SimHub reads telemetry from most sim racing titles and turns it into dashboards, window overlays, LED strips, and motion/haptic effects through a large third-party plugin ecosystem. It is the tool most sim racers reach for first when they want a custom dash on a phone or tablet, shift lights on a strip, or bass-shaker rumble tied to curbs and gear changes.

SimHub's source is visible on GitHub but is not published under a standard open-source license. The app is free and there is no subscription. Its optional license is a one-off you set the price of yourself, and what it gates is throughput and convenience rather than device support: arduinos, displays and shakers run unlicensed at 10 FPS and licensed at up to 60, while automatic game switching and starting minimized are licensed features. The Motion Addon is a separate license.

With SimLauncher: I use SimHub myself to drive bass shakers (except in iRacing, where I use the sim's native LFE output instead) and a custom Arduino-powered wind simulator. In profiles that include SimHub, I set the game to launch first so SimHub can detect it and switch itself to the right sim automatically.

About SimHub

SimHub runs in the background while you drive, reading live telemetry from the active sim and turning it into whatever your rig needs: dashboards on a tablet or second screen, in-game overlays, haptic feedback through bass shakers and motors, or LED and display output on custom Arduino hardware. Its Dash Studio lets you build a dashboard from scratch or drop in one shared by the community, so most racers never touch the design tools directly.

The bigger draw is the plugin ecosystem: SimHub ships with support for around 100 games and roughly 200 devices, from button boxes to shifters to shaker motors, and its no-code Arduino integration means you can wire up LEDs, 7-segment displays or matrix panels without writing firmware. That hardware output is where the optional license earns its keep: unlicensed, arduinos, displays and shakers refresh at 10 FPS, and the license lifts that to as much as 60 while adding automatic game switching and starting minimized. It is priced at whatever you choose to give and paid once, so beyond the hardware itself a DIY dash carries no recurring cost and nothing to pay per device.

It's aimed at racers who've already invested in peripherals beyond a wheel and pedals: button boxes, shift lights, DIY dash rigs, who want one process driving all of it instead of juggling separate vendor apps per device. In a SimLauncher profile it sits alongside the sim as a companion process, so the dashboards and haptics are live the moment you're on track without a manual launch step.
