About ATVO (Appgineering TV Overlay)
ATVO reads live telemetry directly from the iRacing SDK and turns it into broadcast-grade graphics: timing tower, leaderboard, sector splits, head-to-head boards, weather and pit information among others. Output reaches production software through NDI (recommended, via the OBS NDI plugin for OBS users) or window capture; vMix and Wirecast take NDI natively, and XSplit needs the same NDI plugin. Browser source capture isn't supported, so producers plan their capture chain around NDI or a captured window from the start.
The base app and its theme editor are free. Rather than starting from a locked template, editors can bind any iRacing data field to any visual element and export the result as a self-contained theme package, so a league can build its own look without touching code. The Theme 2023 pack can be previewed inside ATVO before an on-air subscription removes the watermark.
ATVO sits at the production end of a sim racer's or league's toolkit, alongside iRacing itself, OBS and a race control workflow: drivers and producers run iRacing for the session and ATVO for the graphics feed at the same time, the kind of pairing SimLauncher is built to start together. Its production track record includes official iRacing broadcasts plus RaceSpot, SimSpeed, W Series and ADAC coverage, though the themes used in those broadcasts are bespoke builds Appgineering develops directly with those partners, not something available for download.
