Overview

VRS records and analyzes iRacing telemetry, comparing your laps against a pool of coach and pro-driver reference data, and sells subscription-based data packs (setups, hotlaps, and tutorials) tied to the current iRacing season. A free Basic tier covers personal telemetry with a 3-month history and a handful of free data packs; paid Dedicated and Competitive tiers add longer retention, team access, and the full data pack library.

VRS also runs a paid 1:1 coaching business and sells its own DirectForce Pro direct-drive hardware, so it spans telemetry, training, and setups rather than fitting one category cleanly. It markets itself as an iRacing content partner. vrs.racing (formerly virtualracingschool.com) is its marketing site and hardware storefront; the telemetry and coaching web app itself is hosted separately.

About VRS (Virtual Racing School)

VRS is built specifically around iRacing: it records and analyzes your telemetry, then lets you compare your laps against a reference pool built from coaches and professional drivers rather than just your own personal best. That lap-by-lap, corner-by-corner comparison against someone faster is the core mechanic the rest of the product is built around.

Beyond telemetry, VRS sells subscription data packs tied to the current iRacing season, including setups, hotlaps and tutorials, so the content stays relevant as iRacing rotates its seasonal car and track pool. VRS also runs paid 1:1 coaching with a roster of professional drivers and markets itself as an iRacing content partner, positioning it closer to a training platform than a simple data logger.

The free Basic tier covers personal telemetry with three months of history and a handful of free data packs, enough to try the workflow before paying. Paid Dedicated and Competitive tiers extend retention to six and twelve months, add team telemetry access, and unlock progressively more of the data pack library. VRS also sells its own DirectForce Pro line of direct-drive wheelbases and pedals, so hardware and software both come from the same company.
