CrewChief starts when your sim starts
SimLauncher automatically launches Crew Chief alongside iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa, or any supported sim. No more forgetting to start it - it's just there, every session.
Windows SmartScreen may warn on first install (the installer isn't code-signed yet) - click More info, then Run anyway. The full source is public if you want to verify first.
CrewChief auto-start - never miss a stint briefing again
Crew Chief needs to be running before you enter the car - pit strategy, fuel calculations, stint info all come through from lap one. Forgetting to start it means missing data that matters. SimLauncher makes that impossible.
Add Crew Chief to any profile in SimLauncher and it launches automatically, right after your sim, every single time. Configure the launch delay so it's fully connected by the time you load in. Works with iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa, AMS2, and all other supported sims.
Running Crew Chief alongside SimHub? Both are built-in companion app slots. Set your order - SimHub first, then Crew Chief, or whichever way you prefer - and the whole stack starts together.
How to auto-start Crew Chief with any sim
-
1
Add Crew Chief to SimLauncher
Open SimLauncher Settings and go to the Apps tab. Find Crew Chief in the built-in companion app list and set the path to your CrewChief.exe. The path is saved globally and available across all profiles.
-
2
Enable Crew Chief in your sim profile
On the Launcher tab, click the settings icon next to your sim - iRacing, ACC, Assetto Corsa, AMS2, or any other. Enable Crew Chief in the companion app list. Each sim profile controls its apps independently, so iRacing and ACC can have different configurations.
-
3
Set the delay so Crew Chief connects in time
Add a delay of a few seconds so Crew Chief comes up right after the game and has time to connect. This ensures strategy data, fuel calculations and stint info are available from the very first lap.
-
4
Launch - Crew Chief is always ready when you are
From now on, opening the profile starts Crew Chief automatically, in order, every session. No more loading into a race only to realise you forgot to start it. The stint briefing is there from lap one, every time.

Built for complex sim racing rigs
Engineered to manage high-end rigs, VR setups, and motion platforms.
SimLauncher is for you if:
- You run multiple sims (iRacing, AC, ACC, AMS2, etc.)
- You switch between different setups (VR vs triples, motion on/off, etc.)
- You use multiple companion apps (SimHub, CrewChief, overlays, telemetry, wheelbase software...)
- You care about launch order, delays, and reliability
- You want a single click to go from desktop to fully ready rig
Probably not for you if:
- You run one sim and one or two apps
- You're fine with everything starting with Windows
- You don't need different setups
- You don't care about launch order or coordination between apps
Common Questions
How do I auto-start CrewChief with iRacing?
In SimLauncher, open your iRacing profile settings and add Crew Chief to the companion app list. Give it a few seconds delay so it has time to connect once iRacing is up, before you load into a session. From then on, Crew Chief starts automatically every time you open that profile - strategy data and fuel info are there from lap one. When you're done, you can close Crew Chief and the other companion apps with one click.
Can I run CrewChief and SimHub together?
Yes. Both are built-in companion app slots in SimLauncher, so you can add them both to the same profile. Set the order - most people run SimHub then Crew Chief, right after the sim - and give each a few seconds delay. SimLauncher starts them in that exact sequence every time. If you ever want to change the order or run them differently on a different sim, just adjust that profile independently.
Does this work with ACC and Assetto Corsa too?
Yes. SimLauncher supports 27 sims including Assetto Corsa Competizione and original Assetto Corsa. Each sim gets its own profile, so your ACC setup can have a completely different Crew Chief and SimHub configuration than your AC profile. Different apps, different delays, different launch order - all stored per profile and completely independent. Works the same way for every supported sim.
Is SimLauncher free?
Yes, fully free. No subscription, no premium version, no feature locks. SimLauncher is open-source under GPL v3 - code is on GitHub if you want to check it before installing. It supports 27 sims with per-game profiles, configurable launch order, custom delays, and one-click kill/relaunch of running apps. SimHub, Crew Chief, and any other tool you use all have native support. Built by a sim racer for the community.
